23rd July

We had a good journey thru scotland, weather was good, arrived at Scrabster 7pm Tuesday, had a midnight drive along to John O groats.

Got on the ferry at 6am, then had a very rough crossing to the Faroes Isles, we are waiting for high winds to die before we can leave the harbour. We got off the ship for an hour to look arround the town Torshaven.
The ship has its own free wifi and mobile network hense we can do this.

Stopped here for a couple of hours on our way. Ferry car deck looks like a Land Rover Dealer, belgiums French, Germans etc.. First 3 hours on the ferry were quite rough, me Sean, and Neal had to take sea sick tablets.

July 26th

We have done the hardest drive ever today, but finished it off with a couple hours soaking in a natural hot pool. The picture is of a local guy we were chatting to he was at billing 2 years ago in the Red Range rover.

July 27th

Yesterday was that hardest drive we have ever had, rock crawling huge sand deserts, volcanic rocks river beds that make morcombe sands look small. Today although easier was the last straw for Neils drop arm ball joint, lucky for him we were going quite slow when it broke. Adam and i hammered it back on and loads of cable ties around it. And we made it to the camp site! Phew if it had happened yesterday he would have been screwed! There is a parts place in the town we reached tonight.

30th July

Geysir,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geysir

is tonights stop, no signal for 2 days. We were stuck between 2 rivers for a day. Crossed one river that was deep, then next river was too deep. So we had to camp at the river overnight until level went down but in the morning it was still to high. So we went back to first river and a 50 mile detour but we are here at last. We have been caught out a bit by the heat it has been so hot its more like Cyprus than Iceland.

6th August

Due to technical problems with John's  email account, he is unable to send us anymore photo's.

We are back in the middle of  Iceland weather is wet and cold lots of heavy showers. All the vehicles are running okay,
no more breakages. A lot of the roads like wash boards and can shake your vehicle to bits, so we have slowed down to
save the cars !
